Bernese Mountain Dogs have been an important part of our life since 1988. As members of our family, we cherish them as we cherish our own children. Our Berner’s are bred for longevity, temperament and type.
During the past 30 years we have owned several mixed and pure bred dogs. In the late eighties we explored and researched dog breeds for 3 years before falling in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog. We have been privileged to own many since then.
Along with Sharon Smith of October BMD's we were founding members of an Upstate New York club (sanctioned by AKC and the BMDCA) for Berner enthusiasts. We are long standing members of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America and also members of the Saratoga New York Kennel Club. Mary is a breed Steward for the BMDCA and President of the Saratoga New York Kennel Club.
We are especially interested in good temperaments, sound health and maintaining type . Our breed is considered a Working Dog and we believe our dogs should reflect that in their character and structure. |
